The sunny town playground was quiet after dark. The swings and slides whispered soft secrets. Then the toys began to wake up one by one to play.
Scoot the red toy scooter opened his big googly eyes. He wiggled his wheels and looked around. Who wants to play with me? he asked with a happy roll.
Fluff the squashy yellow duck popped up next. Her button eyes blinked in the moonlight. She quacked a soft hello and fluffed her soft yellow feathers.
Clack the wooden pull-dog shook his head. His jaws clacked open and shut with a funny click. He wagged his wooden tail and barked a toy bark.
Let's play hide-and-seek! said Scoot with a spin. Fluff clapped her wings in delight. Clack clacked his jaws yes, and the fun game was ready to start.
Scoot closed his googly eyes and counted to ten. Fluff and Clack ran off to hide. But Clack's jaws kept clacking and making noise.
Clack tried to stay quiet behind the big slide. His jaws wanted to clack but he held them still. Fluff hid under the soft swing seat and waited.
