A peek inside
Captain Bright smiles in his red gear and helmet. He wants children to know who helps them. Today they will meet three special helpers.
First comes the firefighter in the busy station. Captain Bright climbs on the big red fire truck. Firefighters rush to keep people safe from fire.
Captain Bright holds a long hose full of water. His friends roll up the hose after practice. Firefighters help put out fires and keep us safe.
The children clap for Captain Bright and his team. Then one child asks who else can help us. Captain Bright says more helpers are nearby.
They visit a doctor in a clean white coat. The doctor gently checks a child's sore knee. Doctors help us feel better when we are hurt.
The doctor uses a small light to look in ears. She smiles and says rest will help you heal. A doctor cares for our bodies every day.
Next they meet a teacher in a bright classroom. The teacher points to letters and reads a fun story. Teachers help children learn new things at school.
