In the quiet bakery at night, the moon shone through the window. Little grey mouse Tiny wore his tiny white apron. He hid in the soft shadows near the flour bags. The air smelled sweet like sugar and berries. Tiny watched the kitchen with big careful eyes.
Berry the brown mouse baker hummed a soft tune. Jam stained his whiskers from tasting sweet berry jam. He kneaded dough with happy paws under the moon glow. Flour dust danced in the air like tiny stars. Berry smiled as he prepared the cupcake trays.
Tiny peeked from the shadows feeling very small. He wanted to help bake the moonlit cupcakes. But Tiny worried his little paws would make a mess. The big mixing bowl sat waiting on the table. He hid deeper behind the flour sack.
Berry called out softly into the quiet night. Come help me Tiny, the cupcakes need little hands. But Tiny shook his head and stayed in the dark. He felt sure he would spoil the sweet dough. The bakery stayed hushed under the gentle moonlight.
The clock ticked softly as hours passed by. Berry frosted some cupcakes with bright berry jam. Tiny watched every swirl with longing eyes. He dreamed of making something wonderful too. Moonbeams painted silver paths across the bakery floor.
Then Tiny took one small step out of the shadows. His tiny paws trembled on the cool floor. He walked slowly toward the big mixing bowl. The moon lit his path like a soft friend. Tiny reached the table and looked up high.
Tiny climbed up the wooden stool with careful feet. He peered into the bowl of soft white dough. With both little paws he began to knead gently. It felt cool and squishy between his fingers. A tiny smile grew on his grey face.
