Animal stories for kids

Children love animals that talk, bake, explore and get into a little trouble. Our animal stories are full of them: a fox baker making moonloaves before sunrise, beavers delivering the night mail, owls in tiny glasses, farm friends who wake up with a chorus of oinks and moos, and shy sea creatures finding their courage.

Animal characters let young children try out big feelings like being brave, being left out or making a new friend, from a safe distance. Every book is illustrated, checked by a person before publishing, and can be read aloud with words that light up.

Reading tips

Make the animal sounds together. Toddlers learn turn-taking by waiting for "their" sound.
Ask "how do you think the fox feels?" to build words for feelings.
After reading, look for the same animals in a park, a farm or a picture at home.
