A peek inside
Freya stepped into the village museum with her bright green backpack bouncing against her shoulders. Her braided hair swung as she hurried past glass cases of old coins and pottery. The class trip had just begun, and she wanted to see everything before the medieval exhibition closed that afternoon. Near the back wall stood a full suit of knight armor, tall and shining under the lights. Freya froze. Something looked wrong. Instead of a gleaming sword, the knight held a bright yellow modern umbrella. She blinked and leaned closer. The handle was taped carefully into the gauntlet. "That does not belong here," she whispered. Theo and Nia were still looking at maps near the entrance. Freya waved them over with urgent energy. A mystery had started right in front of her eyes, and she could not wait to solve it.
Theo adjusted his round glasses and stared at the umbrella with a thoughtful frown. His striped scarf hung loosely around his neck as he considered the strange sight. Nia pulled out her notebook and began sketching the armor with quick strokes. "Someone must have switched it on purpose," she said. Freya nodded hard. The three friends gathered close so their teacher would not hear. They had less than two hours before the exhibition closed for the day. Freya suggested they search for more odd details around the room. Theo pointed out that the armor plaque mentioned a missing sword from the village collection. Nia wrote every observation down carefully. Excitement mixed with determination on their faces. This was no ordinary class trip anymore. They were about to become detectives, and the trail of clues might lead them somewhere unexpected.
