A peek inside
In a bustling primary school garden, the rain had just stopped. Puddles sparkled on the path. Mia and Sam stepped outside with their notebooks. They wanted to learn how water moves around our world. Suddenly a friendly blue raindrop with big curious eyes and a tiny smile bounced on a leaf. "Hello! I am Dewdrop," she said. "Would you like to follow my journey?" The children grinned. They opened a simple observation chart. Today they would watch every stage of the water cycle carefully. The wet garden smelled fresh. Birds chirped. Dewdrop glittered in the soft light. Their adventure was about to begin right here among the flowers and wet soil.
Dewdrop rested on a shiny green leaf. Tiny beads of water clung to the edges. "This is where collection starts," she explained. "After rain falls, water gathers on leaves, in puddles, and on the ground." Mia touched the leaf gently. A drop slid down and joined Dewdrop. Sam drew the leaf on their observation chart and wrote the word collection. They watched more water drip slowly from the tip. The garden soil looked dark and damp. Flowers held little cups of water too. Collection means water coming together in one place. The children nodded. They could see it happening right in front of them after the rain.
