Books for ages 6 to 9 (early readers)

Ages six to nine are when many children start reading on their own, and the right book makes all the difference. These stories are longer and richer, with more words on each page, but still fully illustrated so new readers never feel lost.

Children can read alone, read along with the storyteller as the words light up, or tap any word they do not know for a child-friendly meaning. It is a gentle way to build confidence.

Reading tips

Take turns: you read one page, your child reads the next.
