A peek inside
Elias sat alone in the sunny music room after class. Dust floated in golden beams above the old brass piano. His messy hair stuck up in every direction. Around his neck hung a small brass key that once belonged to his grandfather. He loved how the piano smelled like polish and secrets. Today the lid stood open, and the strings shone like tiny rivers of light. Elias leaned closer and heard a soft humming sound. It seemed to call his name. His heart beat faster with curious wonder. He touched one shining string with one careful finger. The whole room shivered with gentle music.
Suddenly the world stretched and spun around Elias. The brass key on his necklace glowed warm against his chest. He felt himself shrink smaller and smaller until the piano strings rose like tall silver trees. He landed softly on a wooden bridge inside the grand instrument. Sparkles drifted through the air like floating stars. Far below, tiny paths wound between coiled hammers and gleaming pegs. Elias stared with wide eyes at the glowing kingdom around him. This was no ordinary piano anymore. A soft breeze carried a melody that made him smile. He whispered, I think I just found something amazing.
