On a slow Saturday morning, Dad padded into the kitchen in his crocs, cap tilted, cozy sweater on. Shongi sat at the table, curly pigtails bouncing, spoon halfway to her mouth. "I have an idea," Dad said, eyes sparkling. "A big one." Shongi put her spoon down. When Dad's eyes did that sparkling thing, something wonderful was always about to begin.
Dad opened his laptop and pulled Shongi close. "We're going to make a real book," he said. "One that other children can actually read." Shongi's brown eyes went wide. "Us? Make a real book?" "Us," said Dad. "With a little help from a very good listener." On the screen, a friendly AI waited - patient and ready, like a blank page hoping for a story.
