Welcome to the Space Academy classroom, where bright screens glow with maps of distant worlds. Captain Nova stood at the front in her orange spacesuit, a silver telescope tucked under one arm. Her cheerful smile lit up the room as students settled into their seats. Today we begin Planet Quest, she announced. Your mission is to learn the correct order of the eight planets from the Sun outwards. You will also recall one key fact about each planet and its unique features. She tapped a glowing chart that showed empty rings waiting for names. Listen carefully, take notes, and think like explorers. The solar system holds secrets, and you will unlock them one world at a time. Are you ready for takeoff in your minds?
Captain Nova pointed to a brilliant yellow circle at the centre of the chart. Everything begins with the Sun, she said. The Sun is a star, not a planet, yet it holds our solar system together with its gravity. The eight planets travel around it in paths called orbits. We always count outwards from the Sun, never the other way around. That order never changes, so memorising it gives you a true map of home. She spun a model so the students could see the paths. Feel the heat in your imagination first, then move to the nearest world. Remember this rule every time you study: start at the Sun and move outwards. That single habit will keep your list correct. Who can already name the first planet we will meet?
